ANY JOBS IN HARRISONBURG?
Whoa, whoa... Timeout...
You got a 1440 SAT? Wait... You go to JMU with a Duke/Princeton/Pennsylvania/Cornell/Harvard/Stanford SAT score?
You know the average SAT at JMU is 1060 right? Hell, I'm trying to get into Duke with a 1250...
And whoa... Top 5% of class? That should be top 1%. Hell, that should be almost the highest in the school. Out of a graduating class of 500 kids in a public school, an average of 3-5 kids will get over 1450.
BTW, your sentence should read: "I'm not dumb; I graduated high school in the top 5% of my class..." or "I'm not dumb. I graduated high school in the top 5% of my class..."
With a 1440 SAT, you should have a 4.0 at JMU and should have gotten over a 4.0 in high school. Damn... Why would anyone go to JMU with a 1440? What is your major?

The reason I didn't get a 4.0 in high school, was due to BC Calculus. The teacher would not help, was a teach-it-to-yourself kind of teacher. I got a D the whole year, and A's other than that class.
I chose JMU because of the student atmosphere. It is a very easygoing school, where students don't fret rediculous amounts over schoolwork, while still maintaining focus. I didn't want to go to UVA, VTech, W&M (which I was accepted), due to some of the things I just stated.
And trust me, my sentence structure on here doesn't reflect my education. I throw responses to people without proper punctuation (colons, semicolons, apostrophe's), due to the fact that most members could care less, as long as it is not one long run-on sentence.
Write whatever you believe is necessary for your employer to hear.
What are you good at?
Strong quanatative or analytical skills?
Strong speaker/ good with customers?
Sales skills?
How much money are you looking for?
What is your major?
Etc.
Anything you feel necessary for a resume.

No, the GPA was top 5% of my graduating class, that SAT is not figured into class haha.

JMU's student atmosphere...
1. Get drunk.
2. Throw shit on the grounds.
3. Fuck bitches.
I mean really... You got a 1440 and picked JMU because of the atmosphere? UVA, W&M, W&L, and VT are all highly ranked in most fields and a degree in your area from those schools gives you a big step up in life. I just can't believe you could get that kind of SAT and turn down UVA or W&M.
Again. What is your major? I can see going to JMU for hot chicks, but otherwise... No reason. I mean don't get me wrong. I love JMU... I mean realyl, I LOVE it.
Yes, I picked JMU because of the atmosphere.
William and Mary was gloomy as shit. When I toured there multiple times, I saw VERY few students socializing, everyone scurrying to class, and an overall feeling that the students were freaked out.
UVA is a beautiful campus. That was my second choice.
Tech was much to blah. It's in the middle of a damn field with no trees around. Other than the golf course, I would have gone crazy.
And I love JMU too, really, I love it.

And first post edited with a little more helpful information included.
I put down pay needs to be correlated with field of work. No, I'm not going to do construction work for minimum wage, but understand I'm not going to get $10hr as a cashier.

Much better. best way to find the job of your liking is to drive around and look or visit online websites.
Also, ask all your friends if they know anything. There are a few JMU students on here so maybe someone can hook you up.
JB, give the man a job.
