It all depends on where you get your ride inspected really, some places let more stuff slip by than others. If in doubt just tuck them where they can't be seen. Either that or ask around and find a lax inspection station. I had a Volvo that I took to get inspected in Hampton and dude walked around it once, pushed the break pedal, started it and then said "your good."
