Anyone know where i can find a carbon Fiber lip for my Gen 1 Tiburon?

 

no one manufactures CF lips for 2nd gen integras, i doubt your gonna find one.

 

I wouldnt get a CF lip, unless you hate money, as it will crack and shatter the moment it gets clipped, it doesnt have the flex of other types of lips.

 

what kind of lip would u advise? Polyurethane or fiberglass?

 

urethane is the best because its flexible and doesnt chip. it just bends....but its also the heaviest out of the 3. fiberglass is cheap to make and cheap to repair...but also...easy to break.

U might want to check shark racing they do all hyndai i believe.

 

urethane.... strong, yes... but it doesnt hold paint as good. also, it doesnt really matter but it weighs more.

quality-made fiber glass should be the best bet.... as it's pretty cheap and easy to paint.

abs plastic is real good too but they are pretty expensive. my oem honda kit is made out of the abs plastic. my greddy lip is some blend of urethane/abs plastic. yes, i HAVE scraped now few times... :P

....sharkracing, import shark, hyundai performance.com all haven't given me much in the line of lips...any idea about what kinda lip off another car might be easily molded on?.....

i found an alright one on sharkracing...it's fiberglass.....

 

Fiberglass will cack just as easily as CF, just CF will actually snap off in pieces. I'd go with urethane or ABS. My lip is ABS and I have to say at this point had it not beeen ABS it would have been destroyed about 10x by now.

I'm not trying to push ABS just cause I own one, but rather am trying to look out for a brother, as I'd hate to see you spend money on a part only to have it destroyed a week later. My friend installed the exact same lip I have only in CF, and I shit you not 2 days later he destroyed it and a big chunk was taken out of it.

 

appreciate it man.....i'm lookin hard for some abs or urethane lips....but it's hard....because of the less # of parts made for the 1st gen tiburon....
