but lets take either of us out of the equation, a pro rider and pro driver on my bike and in his car, the R1 will win, maybe not from a dig but soon there after.

well if he has slicks he'll get me from a dig, but i

Slicks aren't necessary. Your R1 is the only one with a chance, and even then, you better bring your A game and not be a fatty! Haha

I took this for you this morning on the commute. I have 4.10 gears in the back also!

Another typical VAdriven thread: maybe 3 useful posts in 9+ pages...........and a posting MAD_DOHC involving anal penetration.

I don't know how I'd make it through a day at work without this place.

look theres no doubt in my mind your car is fast, as for the low rpm at 80 that is impressive as well if especially with 4:10 rear, there is no way you are hookin up from a dig wo/ some type of slick, street slick, or a good drag radial, even then you'll spin a bit if your car is that bad ass, as for the R1 have you evr ridden one? also i only weigh 165lbs, and i'm an experienced rider if i ran a 10>8 on gsxr 600 2 yrs ago, i'm pretty sure i could break into the 9's witha very high mph.

Thats just plain dirty! The point is with the way gas prices are right now, if you had the money to drop on an insight cash and not be hurting financially(used or whatever) it would be worth it hands down. Dadocg2 is my boy and i see where he is coming from, I also see where everyone else is coming from but where in the thread did he say that everyone should sell their toys that get 1-20 mpg and buy an insight? he never did!

All he said was that it's worth it to own an insight right now, and he is right! It might not be the coolest or fastest thing on the street but neither are any of our cars. Somebody is always going to have a faster car, reguardless of how fast it is and how much mpg it gets it doesn't matter he was just stating that the insight is worth it and that he is happy with his decision as well as his wallet!

No lube? Cool, that's how I usually roll but knowing your a whale saving hippie I figured I'd be easy on your ass since your recycled toilet paper isn't.

It's go time.

It really wouldn't. Because if you could drop $10k or so on a new car and it not hurt you at all, you really don't mind paying an extra $1k a year or so on gas. It doesn't make financial sense at all and you look pretty queer in the process.

I do have a good drag radial, and an R1 can beat me, but not by a lot. Thankfully most people can't ride as well as they think they can. If yours isn't stretched, good luck. You being a little guy helps a lot though.
I'm not worried about it though, cause If I saw you, you would be rockin your "fun" Insight for 20-30 hours a week.

whatever you seem to be missing te point, it seems all you wanna do is put in guy's butts, have fun with that. in the mean time i'll drive my queer insight back and forth to work, and love every minute of using 1 gallon of gas every 70 miles.
by the way my car is payed off and even when it wasn't it payed for itself with the savings of gas. so when i was paying for it i broke even, now its just plain and simly saving me lts of money every week, i drove my truck all last week to work and it cost me 130 dollars for the week my in sight costs me 30 dollars, that is savings of 5160 dollars a year i can put into an IRA or my 401k
