non - consistant idle - need help
My vehicle in the morning and when it first starts up idle's fine, after you warm it up or after initial start the idle jumps from about 800-1500 rpm's constantly unless you give it a little gas and stay there with the trottle, this happens when it's just sitting in the parking lot, or when you take it out of gear and just coasting to a stop. What do you think it is? Car is a 93 honda Civic Vtec mini me with a y8 intake mani. Thanks

Re: non - consistant idle - need help
Is the IACV under the throttle body or attached to the rear of the manifold? I can't remember and always get those two confused. Thanks for the help

The fast idle thermal valve is the one under the tb ,Iacv is on the back of the mani. Sounds like its probaly the fitv . If you look inside the tb there is 2 ports on the left side . one goes to the iac the other to the fitv . check and make sure that when the motor is warm that there is no vaccum on the bottom one, if there is its the fitv. block it with your finger. if it idles right then thats your problem. most times they just need cleaned
