Im trying to stay away from the sleeve style setup as i've heard some bad things about them and i'd like some damper adjustment.

Yea, true. I ran those on my si and didnt really care for them all that much
No one has heard anything about Function 7. They have an adjustable and non adjustable on JHP USA for reasonable prices just do't know much about them
