On my Corvette I tried removing the rear weatherstripping from the cowl area thinking the same tihng. On th eback straight at VIR is had violent hood shuttering at higher speeds as the air was actually going back and under the hood. Spoke to a few people more knowledgable than I and it was explained in detail. Back in went the weatherstripping and no more bad hood vibrations.

If you want to vent the hood the holes need to be farther forward and your radiator/intercooler need to be angled forward.

I always wondered about that.

Shut the fuck up.

A) It's obviously his car and he is inquiring about how to do something the right way. Anyone who is getting on his ass about doin something "ricey" is a hypocrit. He apparently would rather get good help any NOT fuck his car up.
B) Yall also come off as stupid as shit because, as cobra4b said it actually helps.

^ No... it doesn't help for anything other than drag car. It doesn't cool the motor, it just feeds outside air to a carburated motor because that's where the air cleaner is.

I don't get it either... I've seen it thrown around. It seems like the verb is being left out and it's supposed to be funny.

For example, instead of saying, "I accidentally wrecked my car." You say, "I accidentally my car." and it's funny
