Who is everyone going to vote for? Obama or McCain?
You're right... I guess I meant that as an exaggeration but you and I both know that there are a lot of simple minded people that automatically think a black president is going to solve all of their problems. I agree though... a lot of people will vote for Obama because of his views and the fact that his campaign put a lot of effort into making George Bush and John McCain one in the same, unfortunately. I don't know if either man is right for the job. That's the harsh reality of it. I do appreciate several of Obama's views, and there are things about McCain that I don't agree with, but I have to go with who I'm leaning further towards, and that's McCain. I had a long discussion with my sister about this last night. My entire family is Republican, and my sister is voting for Obama. I couldn't help but to ask her why, and she brought up some important things that gave me a little insight...
I'm very much pro-choice. I don't believe in abortion being used as a method of birth control like some people do, but I think it's wrong to tell a woman what to do with her body and to tell her whether or not she's ready to handle bringing another life into the world. I can't say that I'm a big supporter of the idea of abortion, but that's not my decision to face. There are definitely circumstances where it might be necessary! Hell, some people should be sterilized to begin with--right?
I'm not for the war, but the fact that we're over there and that we are at war, regardless of the circumstances, means I'm going to support it 100%. I will always support my president even if it's not the candidate I voted for. He/she represents our country. As someone else mentioned, TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL! We could be a much stronger country if there weren't so many reasons for us to keep separation from eachother. Race, religion, sex, sexual preference, etc... All of these stupid things keep us from being united, and I'm just as guilty of it as the next person.
I'm very much interested in the right to defend myself. Republicans tend to, in my opinion, be more lax about gun laws. I think there are things that could use tweaking and I wish there was a sure way to be in control as a govenment, but there obviously isn't one true way to keep guns out of the hands of the wrong people. If we had tighter laws, someone that would already unlawfully own a weapon would still find a way to get one. Am I right? You'll still have felons buying a handgun or assault rifle out of the back of a car in an alley somewhere. Why? Because the law is make believe. It's just as made up as the speed limit is.

Its sad to listen to a lot of people's justification for voting for either candidate when based on hate, fear, ignorance, race, or blindly listening to one's parents.
I didn't clown myself and I'm not trying to clown you. I merely answered your smart ass question, on a serious, topic with an appropriate answer. Regardless of how you try to cleverly disquise it, what you said/ asked ( sarcastic or not) was disrespectful to me and could have been approached differently. You may take someone's decision to join the service as a joke or something to take likely but to the person/ people who are/do, it's not a laughing matter. To "sarcastically" ask me if I joined by lumping me in a category of " kid who needs money" or " kid who slaves at MacDonald's" just seemed a lil narrow minded to me. Then on top of that, insinuate that I didn't understand the risks of joining. Just seemed like a lot of assumption and not enough thinking before your fingers hit the keyboard. Sarcasm and mockery on the topic of why someone joined the service is probably not going to be recieved all to well to the service member
PS: I don't care to have a pissing contest with you, so drop it

The only good thing that would come from Obama being president, is that it would abolish the whole "race card" bullshit that a lot of black people like to use. But then again, stupid people are born every minute.
Are you really that dumb? You know, the scariest thing about people like you is knowing that you're votes are going to Obama.
