it might have the stuff to compete with the g37and other fr's ... but it doesn't have the sporty refinement of the G37..but the price justifies this, i'll buy a used one in 2 years

it's common for any new model from a car manufacter to have some bugs or problems..

but the genesis suffer's from some cost cutting.

v6 is more for acceleration and cruising,
turbo 4 is slightly better handling and braking,

the shiftronic auto shift's slow and rob's the car of it's fun to drive rate
the manual is rubbery and doesn't like to shifted fast

the worst attribute is the drive-by-wire..which doesn't respond to tapping, common thing on all recent hyundais..

i just wished hyundai made a car like this years ago instead of playing it safe with bread and butter "appliances" and trying to focus on brand name recognition

 

You forgot to mention the PLASTIC oil pan...

 

Turbo 4, boost controler, short shifter, add a throttle cable, throw in a piggyback or hack the stock ECU.

Fixed all of the shortcomings so far.

 

Any auto robs a car of its fun to drive rate anyway, so fuck an automatic if you want to have fun.

 

the rear diff has room for 2 bushings, only has 1, brembo brakes use generic regular pads..

what would have to be done to remove 300 pounds?

Yeah but they're not any type of performance pad. You can put some good pads in it and it'll probably be a night and day difference.
