got a buddy who wants to do a ls swap in his eg hatch
but i told him i think he should do jdm d15b with the 3 stage vtec with 128.22 to the wheels at 6800 rpms and ls 140 at 6300 rpms

just trying to prove to him that single cam can spank ls all day

if you can actually get the 3 stage vtec to work, than the motors are pretty fun. Finding the correct ecu for that motor is not easy, any old vtec ecu will not operate the motor with its true 3 stage vtec so the motor is not at its potential. The car I just sold had a d15b, its fun, but not nearly as fun as an ls.

 

Lolol modded SOHC is as good a stock DOHC. Good comparison bro.

oh geez, i don't even see ls puttin 140 to the wheels. but i can say a ls has more tq than that single cam, so id say ls is funnier to play with. more potential.

 

Exactly. The LS has so much more building room for less money than a single cam.

 

Yes, I have been quoted ha j/k. but we speak the truth. I have had many single cams and the get up daily is just not as fun as a DOHC factor. single won't move unless your high up(and that even if you count that as moving lol) and ls or any dohc just has better pick up with out having to rag on it
