springs and struts
i got a 98 hatch. just bought megan racing springs and bouta put it on my stock oem struts. the springs are 1.5 drop. i was wondering if theyll blow my struts. im not gonna be do hard corners or anything. im just using them to have an mean stance.

That's definitely not gonna be low enough to blow your struts, and you're not going to have a "mean" stance with a 1.5" drop if it's even going to give you that. So your question to be answered is no, it will not blow your struts.

It will wear them out prematurely or blow them, yes. Stiffer springs on stock struts do all kinds of fun things. It's not the drop, it's the spring rate. You could put springs that are stiffer than stock and the same ride height as stock (so no drop, just stiffer), and you'd kill your stock struts. Lowering springs are almost always a higher spring rate than stock, and usually the lower the drop the higher the spring rate. It may take days, it may take years, but the stock struts aren't going to have anywhere close to the same life as they would with the stock springs.

I Have A 98 Ek Hatch. I Just Got Some Megan Racing Springs 1.5 DROP And Was Wondering, What Shocks Are Good With My Megan Springs. Im On A Budget But Still Need A Good Combination Of Shocks To Go With My Springs. Any Suggestions Would Be Great.
