3.1 VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY
3.1.1 Determination
3.1.1.1 Only vehicles listed in Appendix K are eligible and must have a valid
manufacturer VIN number or equivalent.
3.1.2 Body Work
3.1.2.1 Cars must maintain the OEM look and feel and be clean, free of
damage and presentable for competition.
3.1.2.2 Aftermarket body panels, front and/or rear fascias, side skirts and
wings, etc are permitted; body work that is not designed as O.E.M. or
an O.E.M. replacement of the original make and model of the vehicle
must be approved by FORMULA DRIFT TECHNICAL MANAGER.

More of referring to the (nearly) completely custom chassis build. You are supposed to use factory type suspension pieces/subframes. You can't even reenforce the subframe, yet he has reenforced a bunch of shit, and the whole front end appears to be custom made. Its not like Foust's Scion with a Nascar motor and Supra rear suspension set up follows the rules either. You basically get except from the rules if you pay your way out of it.
I'm not hating on the car at all, its amazingly awesome, I just think Formula D is hypocritical and the rules are stupid because all of the company backed cars can basically do whatever they want.

between the vertical planes created by the original forward most and
rearward most suspension mounting points unless otherwise specified
in these rules. Uni-body or chassis may be seam welded.
So, they said f@%&it, do whatever for 2011?
