I use some that I always buy off a guy on ebay. They are like 50 bucks but the good thing is that they are 5 inches long. So you could dump your bike and the frame sliders can still be used because they wouldnt be worn. They can also be used to kick your feet up when your riding. The downside to them is that no bolts or instructions are included so you have to cut a hole in your fairings with a dremel tool and bolt them up using an existing bolt. But that only takes an hour to do. I highly recommend them.

not tryin to kill your sale bro don't get me wrong... but the bracketed kind don't hold up at all in a crash, saw it in person last week my friend went down, fairly minor, snapped right at the bracket, i've never heard of that not being the case.... personally i'd use the cut-the fairing type and just take your time and if you make the hole perfect you can't really even see its there since the frame slider looks like its just coming out the fairing

but in your defense bracketed kind are better than nothing and would probably do just as good in a driveway tip over or for those that are too shy about cutting into the fairings

i thought when you said with no mods to the fairings you meant the type that have a bracket which connects to the motor mount where the frame slider would usually go and remotely mount it past the fairing so you don't have to cut them... if thats what your talking about, the problem is the bracket usually snaps in half before the slider gets a chance to do any good... if not i'm wrong my fault, but misunderstood by what you meant by no modification to the fairings
