Default Tail light issue

I just recently bought a 1994 FULLSIZE CHEVY BLAZER. I have an issue with the tail lights. They do not come on with the headligts. I still have brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights, but no running lights. Anyone have an idea what to look for first, or have any sites with a good wiring diagram?

I'd look for the wiring that connects to the headlights. The other lights you listed are completely separate.

Replace the bulbs. I had a Toyota that had no tail lights but brake lights worked fine. It was a short in the base of one of the 1157 bulbs.

^that's what I was going to say. I had this problem on my bike, actually. I had only turn signals and after about an hour of chasing wires and removing the tank, I checked the bulbs. Both sides had only one filament. I'd check that first. Jus sayin...

alrighty thanks to yall fellas for the help. I finally got a little time to play with it and found the issue was due to a bad connection where the tow hitch was wired up to the wires for the taillights.

Not too surprising. Poorly done trailer wiring is the root of all kinds of lighting problems.
