Fuck they haven't, I'm in the Green Run HOA and they've tried to tow and ticket my race car in MY driveway several times which is under a cover I might add. Lucky for me the tow truck driver was nice enough to let me hide the car for a couple days while he cleared it.
Yeah, I would def check with all the neighbors. If you come over to my neighborhood you'd easily get a 2/3rds vote. In the last year the HOA has really gone crazy.
