I'am looking for a tuner that can tune megasquirt well. I know abacus racing has a guy that can tune but he is not reliable on returning calls. I know All aspects say they can tune it but i dont like the fact i cant watch what they are doing to my car while they tune it.

 

You mean like watch what they're putting into the screen?

Keinan knows his way around Megasquirt pretty well. One of the shop cars (Vinny's TTE Miata) runs Megasquirt and has for a couple of years now.

 

Why does it matter? It's obvious that you don't know how to tune a car so why would watching them change anything?

I mean it's not like you can tell what's going on.

 

thats where your wrong. I can mess with it but im not a tuner. I put bigger injectors in so it has to be done from scratch. So it would matter to me.

 

Thanks man i will take it to them cuz i did like they way they tuned my cobra. By the way i do know whats going with it cuz i preloaded the system and got it running on 8psi. im just not that great of a tuner with it cuz iam new to the system.

He called me back tonite so i wil be letting him do it sat. With the 550s i have in her i just got her dialed in to drive atleast. so street tuning is easy but for dyno time you can dial it in more.

 

are you using megatune or tunerstudio; did you change required fuel ?for the bigger injectors

im using megatune at the moment and i got a hold of peter and he wants to see the car anyhow and tune it when we can get together. Yes i did change the required fuel and may have to change it again. Its something to play with its not a daily driver.
