Mine is "suspended" in the rear like the orange. I'm missing the stock filter, which is $25 to replace so I maybe going the carb-swap route and snagging a bi-turbo for little extra 'umph'/better sound. Maybe dropping the rear and making it solid (plated rear shocks) like a bobber but finding a flat set of handle bars. Just something to keep me from molesting the near mint Jawa. Who knows
Yep Rod knock it was. And I dont think this was from modifying it, I mean I am sure that didn't help, but I have a feeling the PO had done something to cause this also, since Kyle, Kenny, AJ, and Ron all have the same mods I do and have yet to have any issues.

Like Kyle said there is A LOTTTTT more that is needed for that swap, plus you can get the engines through Amazon for right around 300 shipped which those prices dont include shipping.

I think I like the sound/power of a 2 stroke more so I am leaning that way.

Yep, I am taking my engine breaking as a sign that someone wants me to 2T it an piss off my neighbors even more by riding it around at midnight.
Oh and damn you Southwade, I want to modify my e30 a little bit more before I dump buckets of money on the ruckus again, and with you always posting dope ass pictures it makes me want to dump that money straight into the ruckus.
Nope full on oil and coolant. I pulled my magnetic drain plug out and it was COVERED in metal shavings, then I just decided to completely dis assemble the motor, which is when I found the rod bearing was no longer there.
