Hey thanks for the kick in the ass! Yes, there has been a little progress on it. I need to take some new pictures though. Most of the exterior is installed, heater core and blower motor installed, door seals and trim installed, carpet installed, dash is being powder coated atm, and waiting on a few parts to get back from the chromer. Carbs are also out being rebuilt. Hopefully it will be back together shortly!

Also, I decided to retrofit Z32 front brakes since the factory calipers are shot and are $$$ to rebuild. Here's what it'll look like:

Just registered with VA for this thread! Great work so far, can't wait to see the current pics.
Did you use the Spiro kit for the z32 calipers? Are you still using the stock rears?

I'm helping my cousing along with a full race VG30ET swapped '69.

I know this is a small update, but it's an update none the less!

So, the wheel lips have been away at the chromer for about 1.5 months and they should be finished any day. I figured it would be a good time to get the inner barrels up to par since the face and lips will be refinished.

Started with all four looking like this:

So I used some wheel cleaner and a scotch brite pad I borrowed from the kitchen:

This worked better than I thought it would, years of grime and brake dust started to fade:

After a few passes here is the result:

Not bad, but not great either, my original thought was to polish the inners but this would have taken forever, and I'd rather drive the car sometime this year. So I sanded them down with 220 and then 320:

Finally I sprayed them with an aluminum wheel paint:

I almost forgot to add these:

After rebuilding my extremely leaky master cylinder in an attempt to get my brakes working again after 15 or so years or sitting I discovered that like most of these brakes that sit mine were pitted fairly good and would need to be resleeved. Thanks to user Master240sx (who happened to have a brand new set of 4 OEM Nissan pistons sitting around) I picked these up and I'm crossing my fingers I can get away with a rebuild kit for the rear.

Honestly for barrels paint is the way to go. Who wants to polish wheel barrels?

Yea, you have no idea.. Sorry for the let down, I would expect to see more updates here more frequently now though.
