What BMW do you think would've been more competitive? My guess is that they were considering only sports coupes, so the M3 has a 1/4 mile time of about 12.4 and the M6 does it in 12.8. At most it could've jumped up 1 position to tie the Mustang.

 

Correct... it's a Z06 with the Z07 package so basically a ZR1 with the NA LS7.

*Has ZR1 carbon ceramic brakes
*ZR1 magnetic selective ride control
*ZR1 spoiler, splitter and side skirts
*Special hood that looks like a ZR1 w/ the small hump, but no clear window

I think that's it...

 

all that money, all that dopeness.....and they would all see Ramey's tail lights

 

There's so many more cars out that they could have used.

 

and before anyone starts in with the "luxury/leather/ ac typical BS a $500,000 car should not get beat by a maybe $20k civic

 

And they can all legally go buy some gum from the store. Ramey's civic is for absolutely one purpose and that's it. Those cars...not so much. You can enjoy them in other places that a strip of concrete 1/4 mile long.

 

And i know this, BUT when a $500,000 car runs a slower time than a civic with maybe $20k in work...thats sad

 

They're not built specifically to run 1/4 mile times. You're comparing apples and oranges here. The only thing they have in common is that they're both motor vehicles.

 

Only thing i'm comparing is the Price tag man, i give two fucks about the fact that Ramey only takes his car to the track and the other guys can go buy gum, the PRICE tag is the sad part.

 

I agree they're more expensive. But what cars in that race had a $500k+ price tag?
