EF dpfi to mpfi issues. help.
Recently decided to go mpfi after dealing the dpfi forever, what all is in it;
D16Y8 long block
D16Z6 intake manifold
D16Z6 throttle body
Monotech DPFI to MPFI swap harness
CRX Si ECU
Rywire OBD0 to OBD2a distributor jumper
OBD2a distributor
The car is having big issues running. The only way you are able to get it to run correct is to turn the distributor left past where the ear is able to bolt to the ear on the head, when I do this, none of the ears on the distributor line up with the ears on the head. I have NO idea why the hell this is, and I have NO solution. Could the motor have jumped time to where it will only run super retarded? Any help would be awesome, thanks.

The first think to do is to check the basic things like timing. If you have the distributor bolted to the head will the car start? to your knowledge has anyone messed with the distributor (taken it apart)?

Re: EF dpfi to mpfi issues. help.
Only thing done to the distributor was put a rotor button on it, other than that it's fine. If I put the distributor in the center it will start but miss horribly to where it will almost die out, then if it's advanced to the left, it will ease itself out and run fine...
