Don't like how high the fork caps come. Chrome is not my thing. But damn you gotta love the idea of the V twin torque on a cafe bike.

 

And a lot of aggressive ones that try to run you off or open doors on you when you slide by.

 

I'd rather die of heat exhaustion, then an open door and be paralyzed for the rest of my life.

 

The DC code doesn't mention filtering, lane sharing, or splitting... therefore it's theoretically not illegal.

 

Pretty sure you can get charged with some sort of assault with a deadly weapon or something.

Go ahead and do that shit, if you are lane splitting you should only be going like 5mph. That won't hurt tooooooooooooooo much hitting a door at <5mph

 

I will be exploring this law more thoroughly when I move to that area this fall. I like "Urban Exploring"

 

As far as riding karma goes I never lane split, it is sort of like spitting in all the drivers faces who can't go anywhere and it actually makes me feel bad.

 

Hazards on, and limp on down the shoulder. Get to desired exit, hazards off, exit, troll face engaged.

 

I have never done it because it's always illegal where I live. I was told by a local I can lane split on the highway, but I never found anything in the laws so I never do.

People do get over to one side of the lane when I'm close to them, so it makes me believe you can. I just never see it.
