Need Subaru Tuning Help!
I bought a 04 Subaru wrx awhile back that was fully loaded, all the bells and whistles if you will, and blew it up. Went from 4th to 3rd... Engine started make horrible noises and eventually died. Not a good time, totally my fault.
Anyway, I got a new motor all put to together and put in and car started right up and thought everything was fixed. Well, after driving it for a day or 2 it started acting up really bad. Hesitating and missing really bad. The only thing I can think of is the new motor is not in sync with the "tune" the car had when I bought it. It feels like the timing is off and I don't want to drive it anymore cause I don't want to ruin another motor.
Before I bought this car I knew, and pretty much still know, nothing about "tuning". I always bought 240s and the most "tuning" I ever did was put a safc II on a NA KA. Nothing exciting. I test drove it for fun, fell in love with the way it drove, bought it the next day. All I know is it has a wideband and an access port for a computer in the center console. There is also a switch next to the shifter that goes from 0 to 10, which had something to do the the aggressiveness of the "tune".
All I want to know is if there is someone or a shop near Richmond that I can tow it to so they can check it out and fix it. I don't want another aggressive tune, I just want it to be reliable, cause I'm probably gonna sell it soon after it's all fixed.
Thanks!

Have you tried a Subaru forum? That is where I would start.
