On an unrelated note, does anyone know of any good shops for an inspection in the nova area, specifically Alexandria? I recently moved here from another state and need to get an inspection, but previous experiences with shops where I used to live have left me leery. Thanks in advance!

 

I just go to the Shell station down the street. My bike is legal, so I never have issues.

Ah I didn't know I could get it done at just any shop. Where I used to live only the actual bike shops did the inspections.

I'm not worried about my bike being illegal. The problems I had before were related to repairs I had the shop perform. I had them install a new rear tire (along with the inspection) and they didn't align the rear wheel, the chain was as tight as a banjo string, the tire itself had way too much pressure in it, and they over torqued the hell out of my axle nut. So when I said previous experiences have made me cautious, that's what I was referring to.
