on my last order i did from APC I got these lights called litestripes. They are a very thin material that glows. The casing that they have on them makes them less then a 1/4 of an inch then and about 3/8ths of an inch wide. They are also water proof so they can be mounted on the outside of the vehicle, these things are sweet.

_____They come in blue, red or green. One set has two 5ft. lengths that come w/ it. I'm mounting the ones that I odered for myself on the (in)sides of my bed, they light thing up pretty damn good. They may not be as bright as neons but they are close. and were else can you get lighting that you can cut and still work and also be able to reuse the individual pieces you cut off! I love this stuff! take a look at the attached image.

I remember those for interiors a few years ago..
Since you seem to be into all the lights, etc., they also make a chemical to add to your clear coat that causes it to glow at night

 

i don't know about that, if i did that would make it harder to hide from the cops when i need to.

 

One a mini truck the Lights and shit can be made to look good but more times than not there are ugly as fuck.

 

my plans for them were to put a set in side the bed and anothe across the top of the back of the cab. like a u around the back window, then another u on the back around the bottom. they aren't huge so they are hard to notice, but when you light them up they are bright as hell.
