Yeah its a project car that I got for real cheap, I knew when I bought it, the wiring was a mess. I wanted to check over everything so I disconnected the battery to see if it will stay running for a minute, that is the only way I know how to check the alternator. i didnt want to drive the car home when I bought it, I had the car towed to my house.

to everyone joking about my car shutting off when i disconnect the battery, its not suppose to shut off, that is what the alternator is for, it is suppose to stay running. If your car shuts off then more then likely the altermator is bad, I dont have a voltage meter to check the alternator plug
Like I said, take it to a shop. Half the kids on this site who "know hondas" dont know dick about cars either.
