so at the va tech/miami game, i got a possession of alcohol ticket. my question is, what kind of fine am i looking at? community service? keep in mind this is my first possession of alcohol ticket and turn 21 in 2 months.

i was tailgating in front of our RV and a dude in a minivan rolls up, jumps out, asks for ID's while flashing a badge.

this was in an RV lot prolly full of 2,000 kids. i just happend to get singled out i guess.

do you know people that have gotten this ticket in blacksburg?

 

u'll most likely get community service 100-125 hrs. all the kids i worked with at community service (for something else) got 100-125hrs for possession.

yeah.. I thought the same thing when I read that.

no one deserves that over alcohol unless someone gets hurt over it.. or there's a serious problem.. but having a fucking beer in your hand at 20 years old shouldn't warrant 100-125 hours, unless maybe you're behind the wheel of a car or something.

I have to pull 16 hours for a speeding ticket and I bitch about that.

haha.. I don't even want to say this.

I'm actually kind of fucked because I haven't done my community service yet and my time is pretty much up.. My follow-up court date is Monday and I haven't done the service yet, but I did sign up for the dip class they asked me to do.. err, told me to do. I'm going to ask for an extension on time since I've been working a shitload of (basically required) weekends and overtime at work. They asked me to work at the ZOO! hahahahaha.. probably cleaning up shit and things like that. Not sure.
