I have del sol rims and they are spray painted black. I was trying to take the paint off and I was wondering what I can use to take the black paint off? I used Goof Off but it did not do anything to the paint. Let me know what I can do or what I can buy to take off the paint. Thanks

If you don't want them to EVER be painted again.. brake fluid with a plastic scraper.

 

if you could find something big enough, and there weren't tires on them i would say soak them over night in some brake fluid. If not, just wipe/spray it on and let it sit for a few hours. You can tell when they have been in long enough because the paint will start to bubble off the surface and get really mushy. Than you can spray most it off and than just use a scrub pad for the hard spots.

 

 

i poured some brake fluid on the roof of a parts car just to see if that worked. it didint do shit to the paint. bologna however ate it right off.

 

Please listen to this man. And wear gloves when you use the recommended stripper.

I am going to try that. Because my wheels have tires on them. Will one bottle be enough for all 4 rims? Or do I have to buy more than one bottle?

 

It comes in cans in varying sizes. And I'm not sure that the smaller one will cover all your wheels.
