Default Brand new clutch slipping, input anyone??

I just changed the clutch in my 96 civic about 1000 miles ago, just a stock Exedy clutch, and yesterday morning it slipped on me real bad through first and second gears. I havnt had any problems with it since then but can anyone tell me why it could have done that? Tell me what you think, thanks!!

Did you break the clutch in correctly?

What do you mean by that? I waited til it hit a few hundred miles on it before i really pushed it. Dont know if that counts or not.

The first 500miles I never go past 4krpms. You shouldn't push it at all until 500miles. Basically drive like a normal person would for 500miles.

Everything was torqued to spec and the flywheel was still in good shape, it didn't need resurfacing. Also, it was the clutch and pressure plate that was replaced. I guess the real question is, should I expect it to do that more often or do you guys think it will be fine?

If it's slipping now, it's going to keep slipping.
