The weather is too nice out, and its only gettin better.
I took the plastics off today to see all the damage the bike incurred, and it seems to be a lot of damage
I dont know what this part of the bike is, but it is leaking oil only when the bike is running? What is this part?? The oil is coming out where that scratch is, but its coming from the screw near the scratch, the big center one. I dont have a clymer book, nor do i know much about mechanic work, but i learn easily as i did with my R6.

The swing arm saw some scratching as well.

And there is a little bit of space under the right mid fairing (with the air intake hole) and the head fairing (headlight unit).

The last two im not too worried about, its the oil leak im concerned with, cuz i cant ride the bike to the shop to have it checked without risking my motor, which i WILL NOT do.

u probley have a hairline crack in the case cover. It looks like its on your left hand side which I beleve is your clucth cover. You said its a big bolt, and if its on your left side, it comes out. That where u adjust your clutch its oil behind it but with the bike off I dont think any will come out. you might end up lucky and just pinched the o ring behind it but take it off and look at it but if you have aboslutley no idea of what it is or how it works call one of your friends with a truck or trailer and take it to the shop

Alright. But i might as well give it an oil change too right, since im sure the oil will come draining out if i remove the bolt, right? I mean, i would think since it does share the same oil as the engine then it would, but then again, since it doesnt come out unless the bike is on, i guess i could try it. If there is a crack in the case cover, that just that entire piece right? Which is an easy fix?
I know im kinda asking things u already answered, but im trying to save as much money as i can, cuz i just bought the mid and bottom left fairings and they ran me 400 bucks
I might need a new intake tube as well, and some other assorted pieces. All in all, i'm gonna be broke on parts and i may still need to take it to the shop which means more money for labor
Is it safe to assume that nothing is wrong with the frame? The bike started right up after i picked it up, and i drove it a very short ways into the parking lot without it feeling funny at all, so besides the leak, I think its ok.
it's easy to replace. just pop the screws out that are holding it on, and slap on a new cover, with a new gasket.
it only leaks when it's running because there's no oil pressure when it's off, and the damage is above the oil line.

Oh yeah, I have another question. One of the screw mounts on the left air intake tube cracked off, but the tube itself is still intact, but has some cosmetic scratching on it. Would you replace the intake, or just leave it as is since--from what i can tell--it can still do its job?
