good shop for domestic V8 work??

Default good shop for domestic V8 work??

picked up a set of heads and just wanted to know if anyone could recommend a shop to clean them up a little bit for me.

define clean up. hot tank? magnaflux? valve job?

there are several machine shops in roanoke that do good work, Terry Walters, Fisher auto parts has a machine shop, and there is one on Williamson Rd. that we use alot, i forget the name, but does good work.

Thomas Automotive in Salem would be where I would suggest. Gary (the owner) knows V8's like nobody I've ever met.

Thomas does some machine work. He does some there, and sends some out. I'm not sure how much he can do there as I've never looked into it.

i would just like them cleaned. maybe some work to the combustion cambers cause the castings left some burrs and what not. i got them used....guy had them ported. but somehow the guy didnt touch the CCs??

:/

my family has experience with terry walters....but im sure they would change me atleast an arm and a leg

Go talk to Gary at Thomas. He'll give you a deal, and does good work. I believe he does porting and such there.
