Has anyone on here taken BJJ or Muay Thai locally? If you have were did you go?

Also with collegic wrestaling being some what popular in the highschools and what not around here does any one know of any local gyms that people grapel or collegic wrestal at?

It's a style of Ju Jitsu....



I wish there was somewhere locally that practiced either, quite frankly. I spent a lot of my younger years practicing martial arts. I'd really like to get re-involved with it, but I haven't seen anything I'm absolutely interested in.

I don't know how far your willing to travel but this is a very good school in Lynchburg I have a few friends that train here including myself soon....

I practice the Scottish martial art of fukyu.

That's mostly just headbutting someone and then kicking them when they're down...

I used to take both and I went to Hybrid Martial Arts on Williamson however that was over 3 years ago or so.

Instruction was good and it was a good enviroment. Here is their website.

I wouldn't mind taking capoeria but at the same time I do not know of any place local that teaches it.
