Default Video Editing Software

Can anybody give me some ideas on a decent Editing software (not the built in windows crap) just for some home movies of my kid I want to convert and edit then Burn. Thanks Guys

TMPEGENC (old version) is great for cutting/multiplexing/demultiplexing.

Also... there is a program out there called Pinnacle which allows you to rice out videos and is very user friendly.

I like Adobe Premiere, but it's probably overkill for what you want to do.

Why not ask the whole forum instead of just Western? This should be in Eye Candy.

Anyway, Adobe is the industry standard these days. You can get Premiere for a decent cost these days, and it can do most of anything for you. If this is just so you can put your home movies or your friends on trampolines on your computer, then the Windows crap will do just fine. But for any real editing, I only recommend Adobe products.

(I'm a bit partial, I guess..here's my stuff)

yeah is is difficult to learn on.. but once you start learn its features, nothing can beat it.
