What are the pros cons and fixes for a h22a swap into a 99 EK hatch?
Is there a motor which will be as fast and reliable?
I will be boosting...

i'd do a b series if your boosting... alittle bit more "reliable" and less fennicky about boost then the h series. a b16 w/ boost.

i would go w/ the LS. it would be cheaper and easier to tune.

I agree, plus LS tranny has longer gearing ideal for boost.

H22 for ALL-MOTOR cause of Torque!
B18B1, B16A2,B18C1, is good boosting. But I would go with hummm, B18C1 for boost! Has torque and top end.

w/ boosting you are definitly better off w/ the B series engines. You will find the parts much easier to come by and less expensive to boot...
Good luck and hope you find a good combo for what you need...

What about a B16B? A happy medium? I am thinking that or an LS. That is the verdict at the moment.
