September 16-17, Classic Car Show on Browns Island
Central Virginia British Car Club has their 22nd annual Richmond Classics on the James Car and Motorcycle Festival on Browns Island on September 16-17. Should be plenty of Lotus, MG, Ferrari, Rolls, etc vehicles represented with about 300 cars expected.
There is a 60-mile touring rally (low speed, obviously) and a few evening social events (for us old people) scheduled. Car show starts at 9a on Saturday. Should be a good photo op!
Mods, can you make this a sticky for Central? I didn't want to cross-post to Events, figured we could get some locals interested in going.

Re: September 16-17, Classic Car Show on Browns Island
There is a guy I met at one of the car shows that RPM goes to in Va Beach that fully restored a 1962 Jaguar MKII, beautiful interior and the same color as your old Lotus (British Racing Green). He has a photo albulm of each and every documented step along with car show awards. Saw it rolling down I-95 this weekend. Hope to see it again this weekend. Too many kiddies go for the exotic sports cars they see in magazines. That car is teh secks, worth at least $200k and is a heart stopper in person. It's great to meet people who actually enjoy every aspect of restoring such a classic and are happy to answer questions from other automotive enthusiasts.
here's a pic of approximately what it looks like, close, but not exact. stunning in person.
