Do you mean in the little holes where your sparkplugs are or do you mean once you took your sparkplugs out, they had oil on them? If you pulled the plug wires and saw oil in the little sparkplug wells, then you need a valve cover gasket. This usually doesnt cause a nostart condition however it can cause misfiring if there is alot of oil there. Check your wires to see if they are swollen and soft feeling. If they are, it would be a good idea to change those too. Pm me if you need someone help you out. I can do it for a small fee. Good luck

A valve cover gasket is a good start, but you will also need spark plug tube seals. This normally fixes the problem but there are some instances where you need to replace the o-rings that are on the bottom side of the rocker arm assembly because just like any other rubber seal, they get hard and brittle and tend to break which will cause oil to seep into those spark plug tubes.

The valve cover gasket includes tube seals, on a honda i consider all 5 parts as a valve cover gasket. And the seals around the rocker arms are called valve seals, theres no other seal that will let oil into the spark plug wells. The valve seals cause the car to burn oil in the combustion chamber.

Im not speaking about the tube seals when I say the seals on the BOTTOM of the rocker arm assembly. You see the word bottom. That means you unbolt the rocker arm assembly and check the seals on the BOTTOM of the rocker arm assembly. I never once said anything about valve seals leaking. I am a Honda technician. I think I might know what I'm talking about.
