Default another swap question

i thought it would be good to research before i bought a motor, so here's some research. is there a huge difference between the b16a1 and b16a2, besides the obvious age and seperate gens. but are there any huge differences in performance? i was also thinking about buiding my b18a, than turbo-charging it but the motor has pretty high mileage. any suggestions? any help would be greatly appreciated.

i think the b16a1 is the jdm motor, not sure though, and if it is theres prolly a slight variation in hp, but im sure not a whole lot, either of them will be fun, but id build the b18 and turbo it, but im a turbo nut.......

the b16a1 is a non obd motor (89-91) and a cable tranny.
b16a2 came out of the 99-00 (obd2) SI's and is hydro tranny
b16a3 came out of VTEC del sols and JDM civics i guess...obd1 and hydro tranny.

no real huge performance differences...just b16a1's are much muhc older motors than b16a2's...

i would agree w/ more impatient though. even if the motor has really high miles you can just replace the bearings and rings and probably not have to worry about much as long as you dont go boost crazy.
