Default Bikes for tall guys?

Welp, I'm buying a bike this weekend, and I thought I had one picked out... But the wife wants me to explore other options too.... I'm looking for a standard/cruiser or dual sport in the 7,000 dollar range. The biggest issue is size. I'm 6'3" and 250 pounds, and don't want to be cramped.... Currently, I was looking at the Suzuki DRZ400sm, but the wife has asked me to check out a more "traditional" style bike... I think she wants to be able to ride on the back... lol..

she can ride on the back of a sport bike, I really think you should get what you want, not what your wife wants.
