i have a 2000 yamaha 600r yzf and the problem is that when i go to accelerate (hold the throttle all the way down) it accelerates very, very slowly..... i changed the spark plugs and that seemed to help out a little bit... but it usually wants to putter after 4k rpm

 

try changing out the fuel filter

 

bad gas, dirty carbs, dirty filters, blockage in the carbs or exhaust, could be a million different things.

 

cleaned carb, and changed fuel filter and that didnt change anything

 

well it could be that its a 600

was it sitting around for a while? it sounds like its really getting clogged you might need to get them synced and all that shit, cuz it sounds like the same problem i had with my older zx6e, but i never got it done cuz the $5 carb cleaner from the gas station really helped it out, so not 100% sure thats the problem
