Default people stealing stuff out of cars in chesterfield

Hey guys, well I guess we've all heard the warnings to lock your cars doors at night, cause people are going around stealing stuff out of cars. Well I was smart enough to leave the civic unlocked with the sound system in there, so somebody made off with my alpine deck and my subwoofer and amp last night. Luckily they missed the Alpine type R speakers in the doors (even though the door panels are off lol). Has this happened to anybody else, or am I the only idiot who left my car unlocked? And what should I do about it?

doesnt matter, i had my dvd player stolen out of my car, when it was parked in front of my work, while it was locked. even had it dusted, cause i had just washed it/detailed the inside before the theft. 500 bucks, just bought the damn thing 2 weeks earlier, down the drain. note to self, dont own nice stuff in this dump of a town.

As much money as you are investing in stereo equipement, you may want to put some money towards a very good alarm w/ automatic locking for the doors.

My doors are always locked wherever I go. Even at work when my car is always in sight and about 20 yards from me at all times.

Well I figured I live in a nice neighborhood, pretty deep into it with a hard to find house, and the house is fairly secluded from the road, but yeah it was stupid anyway to leave the car unlocked. I'm headed up to bestbuy to look at alarm systems, any suggestions on what to get? Should I let the police know about this?

Try putting a movement sensor somewhere near your car, it will pick up any movement near it. The sound is annoying as all get out, but it gets your attention.

No one comes out to the sticks of C-field, so im skrait.

Should I let the police know about this?
Yup, it's not like the Chesterfeild police have anything better to do, just think while he's taking the report from you, he is not pulling one of us over
