no matter what anybody tells you...the rx7 is one of the most unreliable cars i can think of...it takes mega bucks to get them somwhat reliable (apec seals, cooling, etc.) and the maintance is ridiculous...pre mixing your gas, the expensive ass rotatry specific engine oil. and before anybody jumps down my throat...yes i owned an fd for a couple of years. anyway, imo s4 ftw
me as a rotory owner i will never give it up. yeah it can be expensive to keep up if you have no clue what your doing but if u take care of your car like you should it will run forever. i just worked on one yesterday for a guy that had 267xxx miles on a stock engine. with a lil work and time a 13b can give alot of cars a run for there money. deff. can run that audi anyday. with bridge porting and a godd rebuilt there amazing. i have an engine i had ported for sale. the only recomendation i have is that if u get a rx7 go carborated. its like 100 something more horsepower and an amazing torque jump. that and swap out mechanical fan for electric!!!

just like any other sports car - man those 3000 or every three month oil changes are just killers
