I am looking at a b18a1 and it has a spun rod bearing can it be rebuilt if so what needs done to have it in working order. The guy that has the motor he didnt drive it like that so i guess it didnt mess anything else up.
it needs to be machined... you are better off buying another motor. if you want i have one for sale its a b18c1. it needs to be worked on but its cheap.
Need to re bore the cylinder chambers most likely, and depends on how scored up they are. You may need to get larger pistons afterwards too. Obviously replace the rod bearings and most likely crank as well. Like he said your better off getting a new motor.
depends on how long the motor was driven with the spun bearing,
if anything you would have to change the rod and the have the crank machined and put new bearings in
uh, driving it is the only way to spin a bearing unless he was bouncing the tach off the red line. I mean, the motor DOES have to be running. And I dont think the bearings will go just from idle.
