Jet Ski Parts?

Jet Ski Parts?
The Starter in my 02 Polaris Virage Jetski went bad and I'm trying to get it up and running ASAP for the nice weather. Does anyone know of a shop in the area that would possibly keep something like this in stock? I know it's a pretty universal starter used on several models of polaris, sea doo and kowasaki jetskis.. just trying to get it fixed asap and don't feel like waiting for the part to be shipped.

Re: Jet Ski Parts?
Virginia Beach Watercraft on Virginia Beach Blvd.. They do any and everything for any jetski. People don't think they do because they sell only Sea-Doos, but they do it all.
1933 Virginia Beach Blvd # 104
Virginia Beach, VA 23454
(757) 422-1762
They are only open until 1pm on Saturdays and then they are closed Sunday and Monday. Call them now and go drop it off asap before they start getting too busy and they will get you fixed up in no time.

Re: Jet Ski Parts?
damnit... thanks for the tip but they don't sell polaris parts. Probably because polaris no longer makes jetskis....

Re: Jet Ski Parts?
You shouldnt be looking for a jet ski place. You should be looking for a starter shop. The starter on my ski went out last year. Brownies starter repair in Norfolk rebuilt it for me in about 1 hour. It hasnt give me any problems since. I highly recommend them!

Re: Jet Ski Parts?
thanks for the help guys, i ordered one off of ebay yesterday.. it was only $80 shipped and as much of a pain in the ass it is to get to the starter on that thing i'd rather just put a new one on anyway.

If you have any questions along the way of the installation, just post them up on here and I'll try and help you out. Otherwise go to www.pwctoday.com and download the manual for your ski. good luck

Re: Jet Ski Parts?
Yes, that's true. It was a pain in the arse to get out and put back in. I think Brownies charged me about $35-45 to rebuild mine. The bushings is what wears down. They replace all the wearable parts and its kicking like new again.
