I bought an 05 SRT-4 about a year ago and the guy who owned the car before me painted the wheels what looks like a flat greyish/black color. I would like to remove the paint so I can paint the wheels the way I want to and also with a glossy black paint, any and all advice would be appreciated. Thanks....

I know how to DIY I was just wanting to see what other people have done and get any good advice

 

if your just gonna respray it black, just lightly sand whats there and clean it, then respray

 

yup, a basic sanding will do.

 

sanding.. hell even scuffing may work

 

if u want to totally remove the paint. 2 options, sandblast or aircraft stripper.

 

or just buy new wheels?

 

I'm getting new wheels eventually for the summertime, these would be my winter wheels. Thanks for the ideas
