Default Ground on thermastat

Hey, I can't find the ground on my thermastat from my wire harness. Is anyone able to tell me where exactly the ground comes from, I think this may be why my car is making a weird noise. It wont start but when I turn the power on it makes a weird high pitch squeeking noise, and the power flickers very fast.

Default car wont turn over..

Hey, I don't think it would be the alt. belt slipping because it doesn't even turn over man. But the squeeking is gone, now it just makes a loud click when I try to start it.

by not having that wiring harness grounded will cause the check engine light to flicker when the key is in position II...you need to find that ground on the wiring harness and ground it to the thermostat housing...that grounds some of the sensors....

It's clicking cause your battery doesn't have enough power to turn the motor.

Tighten or replace the belt. Charge the battery and then you can worry about a sensor that doesn't affect whether or not the car runs. Also, your engine is grounded, your thermostat housing bolts to the engine, therefore the thermostat housing is grounded. The extra ground is normally there just in case, if it floats your boat take a wire and bolt it to the body somewhere close by and to the bolt on the thermostat housing.

Default squeeking noise is gone

Hey, the squeaking noise is gone, so it's one less thing to worry about, i think i just have to find all the grounds and screw them on.

them grounds shouldnt keep u from starting ur engine up,but it will throw a code due to some sensors not grounded, there should be a ground near the starter to the frame of the car and u said u here clicking but it doesnt turn over u might want to see if ur battery is strong, test ur starter, or worst case it might be a locked motor, let me know what happens

yo, this happened to me, run a direct ground wire from your starter to your negative side of the battery, this is happening, because your starter is not grounded real well, I did this and my car started and ran fine after.....

Default update

Hey, guys, I have an update of my situation. I go to start it and the engine is turning but it's not runing. I hear a poping noise if I hold it long enough, I am getting spark, I checked that, I tried putting a little bit of gas in the cylinder, but didn't notice a difference. Can anyone help me with this one?
