Default Stuff stolen out of truck.

So this morning i woke up around 10:30 and took my daughter to karate. I get back and am getting ready to go to the beach when i look at my truck and it looked different. I walk up to it and see my tom tom missing and the faceplate to my flip up screen was laying on the floor. I look further and see 2 of my lethermans are also misssing along with my digital camera and phone charger. The jacked up thing is im in a good neighborhood in portsmouth next to olive branch elementary. The thing i cant get around is it had to happen when i went to bed at
2am and 9am cause thats what time my wife got up. The person also was ridding a bike cause they left a trail in my lawn from the sidewalk behind my house. I mean realy if your riding a bike what do you need a tom tom for let alone 2 leathermans and a phone charger i mean come one you realy think that my phoner charger is going to work on your phone. And if your riding a bike how the hell do you plan on getting away with a flip out dvd player. why would you even consider stealing it. Yeah im a dumb ass for leaving my door unlocked but the damn truck is not even 5 feet away from my living room and mostly old people live around me. Yeah it doesnt cost alot to replce the things that were stolen but it pisses me off that someone had the balls to come into my yard and steal shit cause they were cutting though my yard. Just ranting about being pissed im sure ill never see the stolen items before because of poor kid who cant afford to buy his own shit.

What do you guys expect to happen when you leave shit out in the open? Leaving a GPS exposed is asking to have your car broken into. Honestly, with an exposed GPS in a parked car, consider yourself lucky that you left your doors unlocked, otherwise you'd have a broken window too. If I were a betting man, I'd say the leathermans and the charger were incidental, it's the GPS that make him go into your car. Digital camera didn't help either.

That'll be quite enough with the racist comments. If your post has been deleted (other than Fabrik8), consider this your warning.

Leave your doors unlock, its just like leaving it on the hood of your car for them to take.

Like marlinspike said too....you cant just leave shit out in the open...Bring everything of value inside at night or just dont keep it in your car period. I dont have anything worth stealing in my truck, and my buick stays in the garage locked up.

Keep an eye out on craigslist or maybe even on driven for the items that were stolen, such as your TomTom. And if you get lucky you can find em and smash their heads in!

But sorry to hear man, scary times we live in.

keeping an eye on craigslist would be unfruitful unless he has some identifying markings...there's a lot of the stuff that he described already on craigslist
