No Spark (Ka24de)
Ive got a 89 240 hatch. Put a dual cam in and im no getting any spark what so ever. I changed the wires, plugs, coil pack, checked grounds, plugs, and now im stumped. Made sure timing was good and everything. Just cant figure it out. Any knowledgeable input would be greatly appreciated. If someone wants to make some extra money lmk if you can fix the problem and you will get paid. Thanks

Re: No Spark (Ka24de)
Did you do a full SOHC to DOHC swap? You can't just plug one of the motors into the other ones harness.
You also have to splice some wires on the white dash plug and get a new cluster for the cluster to work.
Here's a guide should that be your issue:

If you've done all of that all you can really do is check your grounds for the ECU and your grounds in the engine bay, get a multi meter and check to see if you're getting power to everything and go from there.
Download a factory service manual while you're at it.

Re: No Spark (Ka24de)
So follow along with me and correct if I am wrong-
Voltage goes from ecu to distributor to spark plugs.
The ka24de didnt have a coil, the ecu was the coil, right?
Check the distributor lead for resistance.
Is there spark in the distributor? take off the cap have someone turn the engine over and see if your getting spark.
Getting spark there, check your rotor, no corrosion your good.
Cap, no corrosion and the gaps are not awefull your good.
Check each spark plug wire for resistance.
Check your spark plug gap.
Actually first off check your engine ground.
