Let me know. The general going rate for a house call to do something like that is about $75, I'd be willing to take a cruise down and do it for that price or even a bit less. Is this an interior or exterior door? Even if you end up getting someone else to do it, you might want to put that information into your post.

 

go get a cheap circular saw...cost about 40 bucks...

or get a jig saw for like 25

mark you a line with a pencil and walla!!!!!!!!!! a door 1 inch shorter for 40 bucks...

then put "slighty used saw" on craigslist and drag for sale

do that and buy and buy a $7 blade. Change the blade to the one u bought cut door switch blades back and bring the saw back. Now it cost u 7 bucks lol. It works. Ask me how i know

You don't use a jig saw. He's going to have a wavy, stupid looking door if he does.

 

The door is solid where it needs to be cut and has small windows in the center. It's not for myself, it's for a friend.
