Good head unit and good speakers?
Also if you are playing media other than a regular audio cd(MP3 cd, usb device, aux input) the files can have a higher bit rate(higher quality, or atleast capacity)

all i run is a kenwood 80 dollar head unit. a kicker comp 10" sub with a cheap amp. and stock speakers its not bad at all just need to upgrade my door speakers because once the volume gets really loud its gets a little distorted
