they sit about 1/2in to 3/4 inch higher than stock ek seats.

The original ep3 buckles weren't compatible with the ek seatbelt harness, you have to take ur stock buckles and bolt it on the seats.

I'm assuming there sitting on EG Hatch rails. I know you welded them but can they still be removed for say, a EG 4dr rail?
