Brake problems
Vehicle: 98 Acura Integra Ls with four wheel disc brake and ABS.
Yesterday, My driver side rear caliper siezed up. I replaced the caliper and bled all my brakes. All my rotors and pads need to be replaced, I just cant do it at the moment due to lack of money and the holidays. I plan to replace my brakes friday.
Now the problem is, even after bleeding my brakes, the brake pedal is very loose and the brakes wont engage until the pedal is already half way pressed. Also, my brakes are really sticky. They stuck before the caliper siezed but got better after i replaced it. However, they are still pretty sticky and it kind of worries me.
If need any more info and clarification, please feel free to ask questions!! TIA!!

Re: Brake problems
have you adjusted the brake pedal assembly? and did you grease the sliders? and if you pull the calipers off and work the piston back and forth you might be able to loosen it up some

Re: Brake problems
Sounds like you might still have air in the system... If the pads and rotors need to be replaced, it's very possible that the pedal travel is from the thin brake pads. It does sound like you should adjust the pedal assembly though, yeah.

What about the brakes sticking?

Re: Brake problems
If the brakes need to be bled, the sticking could be something as simple as residual air pressure when the pedal is released. Could be caliper piston sticking because of corrosion or a seal/boot getting stiff with age too.
